Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on public roads does not comply with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately ask for information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on youtube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without lighting, and without the registration plate holder or other parts that would interfere with the different angle of the throttle due to the transformation into race version. Misuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any request for returns will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with repair rights returned to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reattach the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
