Are removable dbkillers allowed? Altering dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. The use of the open version on the road does not comply with traffic regulations on public roads.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must verify in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use this kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Standard position. No structural modification of the bike is required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for race use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight and license plate holder, or any other parts that may interfere with the different gas angle due to the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
