Are removable db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to undergo the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop. No claims will be accepted for incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, requesting immediate information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Low position. No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on youtube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track, without luggage, spotlight, license plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty, and any warranty claims will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with repair rights involving return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one for repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for repair.
