The application of today's peat is based on over 200 years of experience. The plant material from which peat is formed contains a variety of therapeutically effective components and is therefore well-suited for use in therapy. The mode of action is quite simple, as the heat emitted by the heat carrier allows the skin to absorb the important substances released by the peat packs. The ready-to-use peat pack is placed on the patient's skin with the non-woven side facing down. Only then is the heat carrier, also filled with peat and heated to about 55-60 degrees, placed on top.
