• All helmets are made of 80% recycled materials.
• Use of recycled PET for the straps. Their manufacturer, Ho Yu Textile (www.hoyu.com.tw), transforms old plastic bottles into a fiber that is then woven to make the helmet straps.
• These straps have of course been tested and certified for their strength. By using recycled PET, Urge reduces the consumption of fossil fuels (plastic ' oil) but also recovers ("upcycle") waste that would otherwise have ended up in a landfill at best, at worst in the wilderness.
• The shell of all helmets is made of recycled EPS (expandable polystyrene) foam from the transformation of waste from the automotive industry.

• For all visors and chinstraps Urge uses recycled ABS (polymer), 100% for visors and 35% for chinstraps.
• Urge Polysource has been producing "Veggie helmets" long before it became fashionable.
• For the full face models, Urge has replaced all or part of the fiberglass traditionally used by a 100% natural and vegetable fiber: flax fiber. Flax fiber has similar properties to glass or carbon fiber. But unlike the latter two, it is a completely natural fiber, the production of which requires little energy resources and whose waste is entirely compostable, thus having no impact on the environment.
• Urge is a member of the association 1% for the Planet, so they donate 1% of their turnover to associations that work to preserve the environment.
• The boxes of the helmets are made of unvarnished cardboard, printed with a single black ink. The small plastic packaging inside is gradually eliminated. The helmets are packaged in a fully compostable and biodegradable cornstarch bag.
