The different types of knit are arranged according to functional zones for maximum comfort. Merino wool has the natural property of neutralizing perspiration and eliminating unpleasant odors. Polyester fibers containing silver ions have a mild antibacterial effect and increase the sock's tensile strength. Elastane enhances elasticity. The reinforced heel and toe zone eliminates pressure sores caused by ski boots. Plush heel and toe zone resists abrasion. Low-knit instep wicks away moisture.
