Campagnolo Front wheel Shamal Dual

The "Shamal" project has always represented a challenge for Campagnolo towards the future. Created in 1992, it was the first complete wheel and introduced the concept of high profile, a revolutionary aerodynamic design for its time and an immediate winner.

The innovative element lies in the wheel design called Dual Profile. An original modular profile enhanced in the wind tunnel and with road testing that, combined with differentiated flange hubs, allows for shorter spokes, benefiting overall stiffness, without the cyclist having to give up pedalling comfort.

Like the previous models, the new Shamal - Dual Profile adopts a fibre with C-LUX finish, a device that, translated on the road, provides optimal handling in all conditions, even with wide tyres, suitable for gravel use.

The soul of the new Shamal wheels from Campagnolo is also manifested in the 2-Way Fit system, which allows the cyclist to choose between the classic tube tyre solution or the tubeless tyre solution, the latter being made possible by the non-drilled top wall of the rim, avoiding the need for rim tape.

The spokes are arranged with the G3 lacing geometry, an iconic signature of the brand Campagnolo, a patented system ensuring perfect tension balance for better stiffness in the transfer of power generated by the pedals.

The smoothness of the new Shamal from Campagnolo is entrusted to the aluminium hubs with a cone-cup system, allowing for easy bearing maintenance. Compared to the previous model, the new materials adopted save over one hundred grams, bringing the total weight to 1,480 grams.
