Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fittings is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the road is not in line with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must verify beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and conduct the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for the installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for race use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation into a race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, and any warranty requests will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair at the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard timeframe for repairs.
