Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance whether the presence of the original catalyst or the GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with public road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it's still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens, not tourists.
Single RX outlet. No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use. Removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without a flashlight and number plate holder, or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following the transformation into a racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair at the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
