Are removable db killers allowed? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and does not comply with EU directives; this is only permitted for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not in compliance with public road traffic regulations.
You can use the kit for the annual official inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as the installation instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If encountering problems during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity and seek immediate information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle following conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty. From the time of purchase, with the right to repair, returning to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
