Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fastening is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU guidelines, this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not in accordance with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modification of the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the visible tutorials on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, without flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty, starting from the date of purchase, with the right of repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer instead of the one for repair; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
