Are removable db killers allowed? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives, this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. The use of the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise, the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Removal of the original heat shield is required. No structural modifications to the bike are necessary for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use, removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without a bag, without a flashlight, plate holder or any other parts that may conflict with the different gas angle due to conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the time of purchase, with repair rights with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
