Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the attachment is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalytic converter is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulation and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with the mounting instructions; each silencer bears the homologation code. If problems arise during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95 dB for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
Requires removal of the original heat shield. No structural modification of the bike is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or view the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and number plate holder or other parts that may interfere with the different gas angle resulting from the conversion to racing version. Any misuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with repair rights subject to return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reassemble the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
