Are removable dbkillers allowed? Altering the dbkiller welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the mount is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for mounting: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, as well as the mounting instructions, each silencer bears the homologation code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local residents and not for tourists.
It is mounted in a lateral position. No structural modifications of the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for race use; removing the dbkiller is not only illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without luggage, without flashlight and number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the transformation to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claim will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with repair rights to be sent back to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
