Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fitting is illegal for road use and not in compliance with EU guidelines; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and for the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Installation recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with assembly instructions, each silencer carries the approval code. In case of issues encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it restricted to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible and on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without bags, without a flashlights and license plate holder or other parts that would conflict with the different angle of gas following the conversion to race version. Abuse of this situation on the road will lead to loss of product warranty. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one being repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
