Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tampering screws, or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. Using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions, each silencer bears the approval code. If problems are encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend activity, and immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
It is designed to be fitted in a high position. No structural modifications to the bike are required for installation in order to use the product in an approved version. It is advisable to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on youtube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for track use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as on track only, without a bag, without a flashlight and without a number plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different angle of the gas due to the conversion to track version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty, and any return requests will be rejected. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer to replace the one being repaired; the customer must accept to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repairs.
