Removable db killers? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the attachment, is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU directives. This is only possible for RACING use on tracks; using the open version on the road is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
NOTICE: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check beforehand whether the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
A specific approval certificate is provided, as well as installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95dB for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the bike are necessary for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or watch the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust has a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is NOT ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the bike as if on the track only, without bags, without flashlights, and without number plate holders or any other parts that would conflict with the altered gas angle due to transforming it into a racing version. The abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of warranty for the product. From the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to GPR factory or nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
