Italy,
Are db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixing is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks. The use of the open version on the road does not comply with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise approved; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with road traffic regulations and to carry out the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Recommendations for installation: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed by a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with installation instructions; each silencer has the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on and on YouTube.
The exhaust comes with a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes the responsibility of using the motorcycle as on the track only, without bags, without flashlight, and without licence plate holder or other parts that could interfere with the different gas angle resulting from the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in loss of product warranty and any claims will be rejected. From the time of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait for the standard time for the repair.
