Are db killers removable? Altering db killer welds or anti-tamper screws or removing the fixture is illegal for road use and not compliant with EU directives; this is only possible for RACING use on circuits, using the open version on the road does not comply with public road regulations.
WARNING: this item is noise-approved, the customer must check beforehand if the presence of the original catalyst or GPR catalyst is necessary in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the road network and to conduct the annual inspection.
You can use the kit for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug-and-play, but it is still recommended to install the products in a professional workshop, no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific homologation certificate is provided, along with mounting instructions, each silencer carries the homologation code. In case of problems encountered during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately request information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
No structural modifications to the motorcycle are required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials available on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable db killer (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the db killer is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as on the track only, without a bag, flashlight, and license plate holder or any other parts that would conflict with the different gas angle due to the conversion to racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will void the product warranty. From the date of purchase, there is a right to repair with return to the GPR factory or the nearest official distributor at the customer’s expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired, the customer must accept to refit the original exhaust or wait the standard time for the repair.
