Composition: Pelham bits with 45 mm shanks, thin mouthpiece of 17 mm in German Silver (65% copper, 23% zinc, 12% nickel) a relaxing and sturdy alloy.

Effect: The Pelham is a good compromise between the bridle and the snaffle. It offers varying degrees of leverage depending on the length of the shanks, the adjustment of the curb chain, and its setup. It causes a release of the neck as well as pressure on the jaws.

Usage advice: All Pelhams can be used directly, with four reins, or with connectors. Likewise, the action of the curb chain can be softened with other types of curb chains such as leather or nylon.
