Based on the principle that "function dictates form" (form follows function), the tendon protector CLX XO2 offers your horse perfect protection without compromising on comfort. The tendon protector perfectly conforms to the horse's leg and only covers where necessary. The shell is slightly thicker at the back and on the sides of the fetlock to provide the best protection for the horse's leg in these important areas.

Exterior:

The shell is uniquely designed to fit the anatomy of the horse's leg, perfectly following its contours. The shell's unique shape provides protection where it’s needed, yet it is also lighter than other tendon protectors: up to 10% lighter! Your horse retains perfect freedom of movement and is never hindered by the tendon protectors.

The shell is hard for good protection, yet at the same time extremely flexible to closely fit the shape of the horse's leg. Strategically placed ventilation holes ensure that the tendon does not overheat.

Lining:

The protector is lined with our specially developed Air Liner, a thermoformed lining made from a material that gives it optimal properties. The lining further absorbs shocks, thanks to the air present in the spaces created by the material, due to its composition. Upon impact or shock, air escapes through the extremely breathable lining and the ventilation holes. Your horse is thus perfectly protected against impacts.

Fastenings:

It is also very important for tendon protectors to be equipped with suitable fastenings. If the tendon protector is too loose, it can cause irritation, but if it is too tight, it can impede blood circulation. The fastening straps are slightly elastic and feature a hook-and-loop system, so the tendon protector can always be positioned correctly and adjusted properly. With the rounded shape of the shell, they have a streamlined look and fit the horse's leg perfectly.
