The breastplate made of tanned leather prevents the saddle from slipping back thanks to stainless steel hooks that attach directly to the flaps of the saddle.
It is equipped with a fork to stop the horse's head from moving upwards by acting directly on the mouth through reins passing through the ring at the end of the fork.
The reins should be used with the stops; otherwise, the martingale can slide forward and get stuck on the bit ring, blocking the horse's head and risking a fall.
Each strap or loop is adjustable so that the breastplate can fit perfectly for every type of horse.
