Are the db killers removable? Altering the db killer welds or anti-tamper screws, or removing the mounting is illegal for road use and non-compliant with EU regulations; this is only possible for RACING use on tracks, using the open version on the roads is not compliant with public road traffic regulations.
WARNING: this item is approved for noise; the customer must check in advance if the presence of the original catalytic converter or GPR catalyst is required in their country to comply with traffic regulations on the public road network and to carry out the annual inspection.
The kit can be used for the official annual inspection.
Mounting recommendations: GPR products are plug and play, but it is still recommended to have the products installed in a professional workshop; no claims will be accepted in case of incorrect installations.
The specific approval certificate is provided, as well as the installation instructions; each silencer bears the approval code. In case of issues during installation, it is mandatory to stop and suspend the activity, and to immediately seek information and/or advice from customer service.
Is it limited to 95Db for Tyrol and Switzerland? No, but this limit is only required for local citizens and not for tourists.
2in1 No structural modification to the motorcycle is required for installation to use the product in an approved version. It is recommended to read the instructions in the package or the tutorials visible online and on YouTube.
The exhaust features a removable dbkiller (noise limiter) for racing use; removing the dbkiller is not ONLY illegal, but the customer assumes responsibility for using the motorcycle as if on the track only, without saddlebag, without flashlight, and without license plate holder or any other parts that might interfere with the different throttle angle due to the modification to the racing version. Abuse of this situation on the road will result in the loss of the product warranty and any claim for repair will be rejected. This is applicable from the date of purchase, with the right to repair with return to the GPR factory or to the nearest official distributor at the customer's expense.
GPR cannot provide a new silencer in place of the one to be repaired; the customer must agree to reinstall the original exhaust or wait the standard time for repair.
