The Renthal sprockets are made from a specially developed steel (nickel-chrome-molybdenum), case-hardened and refined at the core to provide the optimal combination of strength and hardness.

• Material: Nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel, case-hardened and core refined.
• ULTRALIGHT: Excess material machined away to reduce mass. Less rotating mass = faster engine acceleration and reduced overrun.
• GROOVED: Cutouts under the tooth to allow mud to escape that might otherwise accumulate between the sprocket and chain.

The drainage cuts prevent mud from putting extra tension on the chain, avoiding premature wear.
