The sprockets Renthal are made from a specially developed steel (nickel-chrome-molybdenum), carburised and heat-treated to provide the optimal combination of strength and hardness.

• Material: Nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel, carburised and heat-treated.
• ULTRALIGHT: Excess material machined away to reduce mass. Less rotating mass = faster engine acceleration and reduced over-run.
• GROOVED: Cutouts under the tooth to allow mud to escape that may cling between the sprocket and the chain.

The drainage cutouts prevent mud from putting extra strain on the chain, which helps avoid premature wear.
